In common with all agencies Caritas Diocese of Salford is registered by Ofsted. This ensures that we are comply with all the regulations and standards which govern fostering and are inspected by Ofsted to make sure that we do so.

Inspections focus on the views of the children and young people placed with our carers, the views of the carers who are supervised and supported by Caritas and the views of the social workers who place children with us.

We see our statement of purpose as our promise to children about the care we will provide for them and this was recognized in our recent inspection report where all areas were judged as either ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ a young person said ‘My carers explain things to me, listen to me and help me to understand what is right and what is wrong. This makes me feel safe’
